Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in joining the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department. Please take a moment to review the steps below to complete your application process.
Steps to Apply
- Download and complete the required documents and send to the addresses listed on the forms
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Request for Criminal Record Check
- Once you have received your criminal background check from the Pennsylvania State Police and your child abuse history clearance, please fill out the application form below and attach the documents.
- A member of our department will be in contact with you following application submission.
In Person Submission
Bring all required documents to:
Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department – Arlington Station
Located off Firehouse Lane, adjacent to Stroud Mall and directly behind Raymour & Flanigan
Submission Time:
Monday evenings between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM

“Not only are the labors of a Fireman dangerous, they are also honorable. Among honorable services rendered to others, few are classed above those of a Volunteer Fireman. Our services are not rendered for our personal benefit nor merely for the benefit of our friends, but often for persons whom we scarcely know, and sometimes entire strangers. It is the duty of every Fireman to fight to the full extent of his power every fire within his jurisdiction, whether it is the property of a friend, stranger, or foe.”
