About the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department

Serving the community with dedication since 1949

The Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department has proudly served the residents and businesses of Stroud Township and surrounding communities since 1949. As a fully volunteer organization, the department is committed to protecting lives, property, and the community through fire suppression, rescue services, and emergency response.

Our History

Founded in 1949, the department was established to meet the growing need for organized fire protection in Stroud Township. Over the decades, it has evolved alongside the community, expanding its capabilities, equipment, and facilities to better serve an increasing population and changing emergency demands.

As the township grew, so did the department. In the mid 1970s, a new station was constructed to replace earlier facilities, marking a significant step forward in operational capacity and response efficiency.

Today, the department operates from multiple locations throughout the township, allowing for strategic coverage and rapid response across the area.
